Getting started

What Luvset is

A relationship app for check-ins, journaling, agreements, and reflection. Built for any structure: monogamous, open, polycule, solo poly. The same tools work whether you have one partner or five.

Anyone who wants more structure in how they tend their relationships. We started with ENM in mind because nobody else built for it from the ground up. Plenty of monogamous users are here too, since the same features fit a single relationship just as well.

Ethical non-monogamy was the starting point, not an afterthought. So relationships, agreements, check-ins, and boundaries all work the same whether you have one partner or five. Nothing is gated or labeled “advanced.”

Yes. The same check-ins and agreements that fit a polycule fit two people just as well. Plenty of our users are monogamous couples and wanted a private, structured way to keep talking to each other.

iOS and Android. The web is a marketing site only, no log-in. Everything you actually do in Luvset happens in the app.

All supported the same way as any other structure. You name your relationships how you actually name them. No forced "primary" or "secondary" labels unless you want them.

Privacy

Your data, your call

Yes. Every person and every relationship has their own encryption keys. We can't read what you write. One partner can't see another relationship's data either.

Your most sensitive content (journals, check-ins, boundaries, agreements, care plans) is encrypted with keys we don't hold. We see ciphertext on our servers. Even if someone got in, they couldn't read it.

Four. Critical (your content) is locked per person or per relationship. High (your identity) is encrypted per person and shared only with chosen partners. Moderate (your settings) is encrypted in storage. Low (timestamps, counts) stays in the clear so the app can function.

Only you. Personal entries are encrypted with your own key. If you share an entry, the people you share it with can read it. Nobody else, including us.

Everyone in the check-in answers independently. Nobody sees anyone else's response until all participants have submitted. This is enforced at the database level, not just hidden in the app.

Yes. You can lock Luvset behind Face ID, Touch ID, or a passcode. Anyone who picks up your phone won't get straight into your relationship data.

No ads, no data sales. The subscription is how we pay for everything. Your content isn't a product.

Everything you've written gets deleted. Anything AI inferred about you gets removed too. Shared content stays for the partners you shared it with, since it belongs to them as well, but your private content is gone for good.

Pricing

Plans and seats

Free covers the essentials: journals, moods, relationships, basic check-ins, and a starter set of boundaries and agreements. Paid removes the caps and unlocks everything else, including AI-assisted reflection and full data export.

Just how many people are covered by one subscription. Solo, Dyad, and Constellation cover you, you and one partner, or you and two partners, with room to add more. Same features across all three.

No. One person subscribes and everyone they cover gets full access through that plan. Each partner keeps their own sovereign account, with their own encryption keys.

You only need one subscription to cover you. If a partner already covers you on their plan, you're set. The number of relationships you can have isn't capped on any tier.

Yes, with a 7-day cooldown between swaps. That cooldown stops a single seat from getting passed around to many people in quick succession. Otherwise you can revoke and reassign whenever life shifts.

A locked-in lower price for anyone who signs up before public launch. It stays at that rate for as long as your subscription stays active. The price doesn't go up later when we ship new things.

Cancel anytime from your account settings. You keep access until the end of your billing period. If you ask within 14 days of paying, you get a full refund, no questions asked.

Features

How everything works

Short, structured conversations you and your partner(s) work through together. You each answer independently, the app holds your answers until everyone's done, then it reveals them. So nobody anchors on what someone else said first.

Deep Dive for longer reflective conversations, Weekly Sync for a quick pulse. More templates are coming. You pick the check-in that fits the moment.

Two things. A personal journal that only you can read, ever. And shared entries you can send to specific partner(s) when you want something seen. The rest of your journal stays yours.

A boundary is yours alone. It's what you need to stay okay, and you decide whether to share it with anyone. An agreement is built together with the people involved. Everyone has to acknowledge it, and you can revise it over time.

A view of your relationships and how they connect. You name your people the way you actually name them, no forced "primary" or "partner" labels. One relationship shows up as one. A network shows up as a network.

A shared place to write down what helps and what hurts when one of you is struggling. So when someone's having a hard day, the people who love them know what to actually do, instead of guessing.

Things you and your partner(s) want to work toward together. A trip. A habit. A conversation you've been putting off. You set them and revise them as life moves.

Short notes of appreciation you can leave for a partner. The kind of thing you'd say in passing and then forget. It lives somewhere they can find when they need it.

Side-by-side reflections. Everyone answers the same questions on their own. The answers stay hidden until everyone's submitted, then you see them side by side. Good for surfacing things you've never gotten around to talking about.

A nudge to send something kind to a partner you haven't been in much touch with. The app suggests when, you choose what to send.

AI

What AI does (and doesn't)

It helps you reflect on what you've written and drafts language when you ask for it. It also surfaces patterns from your check-ins over time. You can turn any AI feature off individually.

No. Nothing you write in Luvset is used to train any AI model. Our contract with Anthropic (the model provider) blocks it, and we don't run our own training either.

Depends on the feature. For "rewrite this draft," it sees exactly what you sent for that one request. For background reflection (like summarizing a check-in), it sees derived signals like sentiment and themes, but not the prose itself. You can see exactly what each AI feature reads in your settings.

Yes. Anything the AI has noted (themes and summaries) shows up in your profile, labeled as inferred. You can correct it or delete it.

Yes, surface by surface. If you don't want AI summaries of your check-ins, switch that off. If you want a writing assistant but no background pattern detection, that works too. It's per-feature, not all-or-nothing.

Account

Account and data

Yes. Paid plans let you export everything you've written in a readable format, journals, check-ins, agreements, the lot. Free accounts can request a basic export from support.

With your email. No phone number, no social log-in, no real-name requirement. The less we ask for, the less there is to ever leak.

Yes. Sign in with the same email and your data follows you. Your encryption keys are tied to your account, not the device.

There's a contact form on the site. Or write to us from your account settings. A real person reads everything that comes in.
